Lipo voltage Question

Just checked a battery I had sitting around.1 cell read 3.96 the other was 3.86 and total was 7.82. Does this battery need attention?Sorry for my ignorance just new to the Lipo Battery.

It needs balancing. Just do a balance charge. If that pack has been sitting around for a while, you didn't do a storage charge on it. Always do storage charges when you're done for the day.

While there's no danger in keeping a LiPo fully charged, it will significantly shorten the lifespan of the pack. I feel that balancing is most important when charging the pack to 4.2v/cell, the only danger is when any individual cell goes above 4.2v or below 2.5v respectively, more info here:

I almost never use the storage mode on my charger, it's a lot quicker to run my pack to LVC in the car which is pretty much spot on for storage mode ;)
