Icharger power supply

Going to be ordering the icharger 406 and will be used to charger 2s 5000 lipo sharty pack mostly for stock racing and wondering which power supply will be best. I found this and I like the idea of the stand and everything looking neat.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/iCharger-40...QAAOSw44BYfCrt
will this power supply be enough?
I hate to buy stuff and then realize it wasnt the best option.
anybody use that power supply?

Look at rl power supplies on Facebook.

It will do what you need it do, but it will not let the charger see its full potential. You will be fine.

That is the power supply I have used for 3 years now. Works great.

Just buy one of These and solder on some connections yourself. Save like 60 bucks. 20 bucks for 750 watts, of platinum powetsupply.

rl power supplies are great:D:D:D

The HP 750 is so easy to mod. Go with the DarkGeneral on this. I have two of them, one modded and one for back up that is not modded right now. They last a long time, I am going on two years and never a problem. For your battery a Hobby King Reaktor 250 charger would be just fine.

Plus they are platinum rated, so they are crazy efficient.

he already ordered the icharger..... so he needs a 40A discharger to cycle the battery in stock racing.

Get this.....
https://r1wurks.com/collections/char...arge-amplifier

if you do get that... you might want to order the power supply at the same place to save shipping
https://r1wurks.com/collections/char...v-power-supply

Get a low IR battery and motor too... or else .. all these fancy charging equipment is useless.

Thanks for info guys. rl power and r1wurks are my top 2 choices. I hear ya on the hp750 power supply but I really like new warrantied stuff because this is my fun time and don't want to worry about my stuff working or not (not saying hp750 is bad or not because I never used it just see other guys at track with power supplies like the rl's)
thanks again ill post back once order is placed

Darkgenerals 05-21-2018 07:35 AM

Im not sure if any has told you but RL power and R1Wruks just purchase those HP power supplies and solder their own connections and vinyl wrap them at some mark up. So its not new and the warranty is just a personal one.

Use discount code 10%off to save 10%. This code is good until the end of May 2018

You still wont answer my question from another thread.

How bad has the mining craze cut into your power supply cost? Also do the mods know your advertising a personal product? I'm pretty sure your suppose to be a vendor if your going to do that.

JPAPA26 05-21-2018 09:11 AM

Ok I understand saving a buck helps but the rl power supply puts out 12v 85amp 1025 watts and the hp is 12v 65.5 amp 750 watts so the extra amps and watts would not help?

Darkgenerals 05-21-2018 12:38 PM

The extra amps are very nice to have. My point is the RL and R1 power supplies are not "New" they are recycled power supplies. Most likely purchased from a server recycler/Miner and then modified by RL and R1. Your paying them to do the work of modifying a used power supply, wrapping it in vinyl, and then giving you a "warranty".

Its your call if you think having them do the work is worth the extra cost. Personally, I'm handy with a soldering iron.

I use a dell power supply from eBay, was $25 bucks. Puts out 60amps.
