I have to get the KO Propo ICS-USB Adapter (item # 61028) and a fresh - new computer to change the Cut-Off Voltage.

Thank You
A standard 2 cell lipo is typically 8.4V properly charged. The ESC can handle more than 7.4V. You can just charge the HV packs at the regular 8.4 voltage if the ESC really can't handle the marginally higher voltage. Where are you reading that the ESC can only do 7.4V anyway? The manual I just looked at said 4-7 cell (4.8V-8.4V). Does that ESC have lipo cutoff?

Just curious, did you get a chance to test out the new setup?

I installed the Li-Po Battery and achieved quicker lap-times. Not much faster. But faster by a bit over 1 second.

Tamiya Evolution 5: - 36.06 (with Ni-MH)
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 34.75 (with Li-Po)

I thought the Li-Po batteries would give me somewhat rocket speed...Ha Ha!

Thanks to everyone for the help.

If that difference is consistent over many laps, that's a pretty huge improvement.

I don't really understand this Li-Po Battery charge'n stuff (for now I don't really care). My son charges my Li-Po Batteries for me. I'm good with what he does with them (as long as he doesn't smoke them).

I/we filled-in the trenches on the school yard track.
Everyone's lap times went down. But I'm still the quickest in our 10.5 Fastest-Lap Challenge:
-TB Evolution V: -33.57 (with Ni-MH) - - - - - - -32.79 (with Li-Po)

(I want to try something with the Ni-MH Batteries. . . . .)

(alot of the guys are get'n bored with it. less people are show'n-up. we started with 9 guys. after a few months of past; only 3 guys now show-up.)

Once again; Thanks to everyone for their help and insite.

My son tried charging the Ni-MH 3600mah batteries with a 4.3amp charge rate (my orders); and it gave me more speed.

I'm a just a bit slower run'n the Ni-MH Batteries (32.56) than with the Li-Po 5800mah 110c Batteries (31.91).
