Default Brand New Nimh batteries not working?

I purchased some battery packs from Amazon one traxxas hump pack and the other a flat pack. Long story short, they're both dead. No matter how much charge I give them they don't power my reciever - yet I use a AA-battery pack from an old RS4 and it works perfectly.

Is there something I'm missing? Any particular reason this happens? Every NiMH pack I've had tends to just poof.

do you have a voltmeter? And.. putting a 7 cell pack into a "normal" reciever sounds like a good way to fry it.

Is this for a nitro or electric car?

If electric, what ESC are you using? Did you disable LVC to use NiMh?

How are you sending power to the Rx? Through the Battery port or through the BEC of an ESC on Ch2?

They’re both connecting into the reciever I use for the MX-V Airtronics transmitter I use. I made sure the voltages were within the receivers range. I just feel like they’re not getting any charge?

If you use the same charger on both batteries, then the thing in common is the charger. You might see if someone local has a NiMH charger that you can use to validate. Checking the voltage of the batteries and trying a different charge are the next logical steps.

Good point Mahjik, I will test out a new charger and see if that fixes my problem. I didn't even think about that.
