Default iCharger or Powerlab 6T?

Delete: i used the search function...

I've been looking to upgrade from my Hitec X1 Touch, but trying to see if there are any alternatives to the iCharger. Power lab 6T looks really nice, but i've no idea if anyone else out there has tried it?

I use both at the track. The PowerLab 6T looks pretty fancy, I only have a PowerLab 6. I also use the icharger 308. I like the icharger because it is a duo charger but if I didn’t need two chargers, I would stick with my PowerLab. I also have the PowerLab 8 but using both Powerlabs is taking up way too much space on the pit table. I guess this doesn’t help your decision.

I like the powerlab over the icharger. Just my opinion. I have had 4 powerlabs and 3 ichargers they the years. Now I have a pl8 duo.

I'm still not sure which way to go with this. I see no info (apart from their website) from Powerlabs. ISDT T8 looks OK and the iCharger 308/406 seem to be standard for everyone.

PL6T is really nice and does 30A single channel and has an 'app' and lots of data collection/monitoring options (i like this!) Re-gen discharging or 8A. no-one crows about how great they are (for what it's worth)

ISDT will do 30A single channel and is cheap (and can be calibrated)

iCharger will do 30/40A dual channel, and sync mode for discharge. PC link and lot's of users say how much they like them.

Pretty confused right now as to which way to go.

I have a different brand than your talking about, but after using a Duo of any brand i love not having to use the extra space, wiring etc of two chargers. That to me is also a big deal.

Ok, so I got the Powerlab. Holy cow, it's got so many options! Also got the Android CCS application for it. It syncs battery data to Dropbox, supports NFC from the phone (and the charger obviously!) The charger is fully controllable from the phone at all times.

Build quality is very good indeed. Whilst it won't discharge at 40 amps (unless connected to a lead acid battery) it will charge at up to 40A with the appropriate power supply. I got the single channel, but when I can charge at a pretty hight rate, it doesn't matter anyway.

Recommended as a quality alternative to an iCharger for sure.

Take no notice of the data on the screens, I was just starting out with it! It can do a calibration run with a charge/discharge/charge to determine battery 'fuel' accuracy etc and write it to the NFC tag you stick to the battery.

seriously that powerlab charger looks real nice! Its interesting to see the nfc and android app technology being integrated into the charger.....looking at there website they have a pretty good diversity of budget to more top-end chargers and they all look nice.
