Default Sticky protek servo

I recently brought a protek 100ss servo from my lhs to run in my slash 2wd racer. I don’t run a servo saver and have aluminum bell cranks, steering knuckles and servo horn. The servo is sticking to the right endpoint. When I turn it to the right the servo just stays there like there’s a blockage in the steering rack. When the servo started doing this I disconnected it from the steering rack and moved it by hand and the steering rack was smooth and free. I am at a loss to what was causing this especially because the servo is less then a month old.

It sounds like you may have stripped the servo, especially given there is no servo saver and stiff aluminium bellcranks.

Is this happening when you're turning the wheel by hand or with the radio?

If you open it up and find no stripped gears, then contact ProTek, and hope they don't tell you that you abused the servo.
