Futaba R2004GF Servo Compatability

I cannot find anything to tell if I can use an analog servo with my Futaba 3PL transmitter and Futaba R2004GF receiver combination. I have a Hitec HS-925MG servo that I would like to use but need to be sure it will work with the Futaba electronics. Anyone?

In general, analog servos plugged into 2.4 radios twitch and buzz before burning themselves out regardless of brand of radio and/or servo. However, the output mode resolution/speed of the 3PL is Futaba's lowest so if you plug it in and it doesn't do that, it should be fine.

It should be fine since the servos that get paired with the 3pl and r2004GF receiver are analog as well. They show in this manual. Seems it's for a bundle kit.

The manual does show S3003 servos come bundled so I imagine I will be OK. I will give it a try, thanks.

All connected and it all seems to be working fine. My setup is a Tamiya TA-06 with the Exotek EX06 chassis, LRP Quantum Sport ESC, Tamiya black can Sport brushed motor, Hitec HS-925MG servo and a 2S Venom 4000 shorty lipo. Threw this together to have play car for lunch breaks and between rounds just for fun.

lol dang man that is a pretty nice play car if I do say so myself :) I'd love one of the Exotek converted Tamiya cars.

The analog servo's need a normal framerate from about 20msec. Any high or fast framerate will only work with digital servo's.

Not sure about the 3PL but with the 4PLS you can switch between normal and high speed modus.

The 3PL does not have any capability to switch between frame rates. The menu system is very basic.
