Default Goolrc esc programming

Just bought a Goolrc motor and esc for my son and wondering if anyone knows how to program without a program card or which program cards will work with this make. It is a 60amp esc and it is in lipo mode but my son has only nimh batteries.

Only program boxes that I'm aware of that work are goolrc or hobby star.

I had the same issue a while back. Ended up installing the hobbystar software on my computer and programming it that way. I still needed to use a programming box between the esc and pc. I used my hobbywing 2in1 program box. It wouldn't work to program the esc by itself, but worked fine as a "go between" for lack of a better term. Basically, the program box didn't do anything. Just the screen lit up with no type of text.

I used a USB to mini USB cable from the pc to the program box. Then used a servo lead extension from the program box to the esc. Don't ask me why, but it worked perfect.

Your best bet is to just buy the goolrc or hobby start programmer. Much easier and you can make adjustments in the field if needed.

Ordered the programming card. Hope it doesn't take too long to get here. My son is wanting to use his new motor extremely badly.
