FYI for anyone trying to sign up online, I just received an email from Motorama Events and they said that there was an "issue" and that registration would go live at 7PM EST today 11/1/2016.

I'm sure you guys all already know this, but I'll share anyway.

As you will realize our registration system never went live at 12:01am like it was supposed to last night. We deeply apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you or your participants. The problem has been corrected and the site will be going live at 7:00pm TODAY.

My deepest apologies for this inconvenience – technology is not always on the right side………

I cut out some other administrative stuff, but that was the email sent to Scotty and I this morning.

Flagler got the inside scoop on it this year...
He tells me it's the brownish/tan colored kind!

Was only able to register for two classes. E-buggy and 1/10 4wd. I also wanted 1/10 2wd. I know they said they were limiting the 1/10th side to two classes only, so I figured I could do two there and one on the big track.

tedstryker - Scottys very first post gives as much information about the new dirt that is known. And the only thing that is known, is that it is not going to be the same as previous years clay only composition because it became too difficult to shape and mold that track in the allotted time.
Tire vendors will be on site, but this is a year where you'll be bringing a wide variety of tires to try to keep up with what works the best.

Time will tell hopefully they let everyone know type of surface it will be.

no one knows what the surface will be. I was told it's NOT the same as the 8th scale track. My suggestion is make sure you have some small pin tires and some bar tires in ultra and super soft.

Heard it's gonna be the dirt from the Arenacross track.

I could be wrong.

Top secret dirt, so we'll need at least six different sets of tires in hopes that it's the tire that works.
