the August 3-4th Nova Rossi Challenge has added a special R/C demonstration-
5th scale comes to Blue Diamond August 4, 2013. On August 4, Sunday the
5th Scale Formula One only (starting point -"it is a let’s see how it works period"). I have spoken to the owner (John) and the first official race is scheduled for August 4, to run as part of an demonstration class separate from the Nova Rossi Challenge at the Diamond. The rule still stands for this class to run …. We need at least three cars to particapate. There will a pre driving test administered to all participants. So come on down or up to Blue Diamond for the large scale on road racing.

Ok for those who are interested in attending the first 5th scale formula one race August 4, at Blue Diamond (BD) I am asking you to be conscience that we will be operating on a tight schedule. Most of you have asked about practice. There will be practice for you on Saturday and Sunday. The race director and I have discussed the following for this event.
Sunday track is opens for 5th scale 7:30 am to 9:00 am driver testing will be administered before qualifiers. At 9:00 am the track will be open for practice for the nitro classes. The track will probable close between 10:30 and 11:00 for the program to start. We can have a drivers’ meeting and discuss a future schedule for all on road 5th scale races at BD.
There will be two 2 qualifying rounds. These qualifiers will be 5- 6 minutes long and mains will be determined between 15-20 minutes. The mains will start be right after the last nitro qualifier. Meaning 5th scale mains will run during the break for the nitro’ s classes’ that is before nitro’ s mains. So please be ready. Also, if you have personal transponders please use it that would be great. BD in general, do not like to use house transponder for major events, (this classes might be acception but you are responsible to be ready if are going to use the house transponder (we will not wait).
Hopefully the other participants will be as conscience about their responsibilities too as racers, so this program can move smoothly. Marshaling (and being on the track in a timely fashion) is important.
