Was a lighter day, but you know what? We still had a great time rubbing fenders with friends....

And, as a side note, there are considerations being made to make Wagner 1/5th and maybe 1/8th scale friendly for 2014!

Plan there, is to use the existing pit area to create more/wider lanes, and still use some of the current track area to create a usable layout....The current red and white outside board, that separates the track from the pits, would be used as a lane divider for the bigger layout....

Current 1/10th lane widths would be the same (12 foot infield, and 15-16 foot oval)

Since we would lose the pit area, 1/5th and 1/8th would be run on a different day than 1/10th....That way, it would be pitting as usual, on 1/10th days.

We are going to have a 1/5th and 1/8th Test and Tune session sometime in October to see how this will work, so stay tuned!

Ray, I was thinking about the plan to make the track larger and to have the 1/10 cars run on a smaller track while keeping the existing pit area. Why not just make the track larger for 1/10,1/8 & 1/5 scales. Looking at the size of the Blue Diamond Track I can assume that the larger track at Wagner will not be larger than BD and 1/10th cars run on it. One of the aspects that make BD attractive to all classes is the size.

As for the pit area for all classes, we will need clean the grass area (i.e. laydown gravel,...). I think that the 1/10th guys will appreciate a larger track which can all so be used for the larger scales.

Just my 2 cents!!

you can always use the rink as a pit area...or go with your idea and take a chunk of fence out so its easier to get on and off the race surface

Ray thats great news I got my start in 1/8 there let me know when you want to have a test and tune I bring some of the 1/8 guys down. We used to pit on the grass around the track and used all of the asphalt. I would be willing to come down and help setup the track change I have layout designs from my track in edison when we ran. I hope this could really come true we could all use another1/8 track in the north east. Ray give me a call when you get a chance.

THANKS
