Thanks Ray. Your opinion on mini 4wd was extremely accurate, so I will be getting a front wheel drive. Just seems logically a rear wheel drive would handle better than a front wheel drive.

Turns out that September 8th...
...was going to be my Return To Racing After A Long Hiatus, so thanks for setting up the Brawl to celebrate it!
I'll be there.

Mini's are fun
We had a little warm up brawl yesterday and all I can say is, that if anyone thinks that they can just pull their car off the shelf from last year and put it on the track and expect to be in the A main you might wanna regroup because from what I saw yesterday it won't be that easy.
9 mini's yesterday all within a second of each other. Veteran drivers but newbies to the mini game.
Nelly let's see that video....
1/18 motors will be the black cans... Some of you may have them and for those that don't Gordon will have about 35 in stock before race day...

I didn't realize Live RC was covering the Mini Brawl warm up race at MRH! Thumbs up for the dual video angle. What's next? Scotty impersonator to call the race.
In keeping up with the fine tradition of racing mini 4wd, I've already tore down my ride to make some modifications. I'll need to spend another 25hrs prepping the car to catch up with the fast guys!!
I have 2 questions.
1) I would like to position my servo closer to the center of the chassis and won't be able to use the traditional servo mounts. Can I just use Shoe Goo to hold the servo in place?
2) I would like to narrow my lower plate a little by cutting 7mm on each side. What is the best tool to ensure that I get a straight cut? If anyone has the equipment and the know how shoot me a PM.

2) Make a wooden jig that lets you slide the chassis through . Then use metal hose clamps to mount the dremel to the jig with a cut off wheel . 7mm a side sound like to much ,maybe 3 to 5mm a side .

1) Shoe goo works great , just make sure the car is tweak free before gluing.
