The One Eighth Racers of Toledo 2012 thread.
This thread will be used for updating events and general BS about gas racing in Toledo.
The One Eighth Racers of Toledo is one of the oldest on road radio control racing clubs in North America. The club has existed for over 43 seasons, having been formed in 1968, and today the club provides racers with a permanent facility that is one of the best prepared and fastest scale car on road asphalt surfaces in the United States and Canada.
The track serves as a weekend facility for club members, a regional facility for the Midwest Series, as the home of the club's own regional race, The Great Lakes Challenge known as The GLC, and was host to the ROAR Fuel Sedan On Road Championship in 2004. The RC Pro Series will be joining us for their third year of on road organized racing. For 2009 the Toledo club hosted the ROAR Combined 1/10th and 1/8th Onroad Fuel Nationals.

So with the weather being so nice a few of us went out to the track and started setting it up earlier than planned. We have all the boards out there, Flappers and all the other little items will be done at the next scheduled work party.
The Surface looks very much like it did last fall and since we had such a mild winter their was no need to repaint anything even.

I have to work sat so if we work on it sat. I won't be able to be there till after like 2pm. I'm free sunday I think.

I think this sunday but I have not locked it down yet. Our fearless leader Ted has been under the weather.

Looks like we are going to skip working on the track this weekend. With Ted being ill and a chance of rain for sunday we will just wait for the 7th like the orignal plan set in motion.
