You are best off using a small pin . The track will get beat up and with the large amount of traction this track has you will traction roll a lot if you plan to use a large pin tire . Gridiron style is the best tire choice .

Yeah I've been hearing all this. I only have 1 set of new grids for my buggy that I havent touched and none for my truggy so I guess I need to keep my eyes out on some deals.

I would highly recommend getting small pin tires . You can run large pin but not fast. I've tested every aka tire out there , impacts were still even to grabby

So are you saying impacts are not good for buggy but good for truggy on this track?

Frank, the new truggy impacts have been run on the current layout; although "he" said they were good they still had too much bite and were a lil prone to hooking. The new truggy grids were great! Per the driver who has them already.
Our current layout is blownout!! So impacts on a fresh smooth surface should be really good. I ran them up until the track got rough.

I've been switching back and forth between impacts and gridirons during the day on our current layout. There are major ruts but when the track is dry I still like Impacts better. When it's watered you can run slicks and hook up. Small pins are for sure the more popular choice though, and I am not smooth on the throttle and I like my car to launch when I punch it.

Ha ha frank .

Any tire will hook up at this track. As James said when the track is new impacts are a great choice , although depending on your setup they could cause a little push in corners because they do have more bite then gridirons . I personally will use impacts for practice and maybe for Rd 1 qual in truggy but after that it will be all grid irons

I have ran blockades. They are ok. Pretty much what everyone is saying. Its a really high bite surface when watered. The blockade is good when dry or would probably be when the track is new and smooth. I would have hole shots too though. You can also get away with a harder compound. If you had something in m2 or medium I bet it would be just fine. Personally feel soft grids is the best option though.
