I have already started by establishing a full time race announcer! not a racer/race announcer, this way everything moves smoothly and has a good flow with hopefully less problems and delays and no one gets stuck with that task :)... <<<The Details>>> The "SPEC" tire is the T.O.P. Racing Solaris 1) The Classes: *17.5 rubber tire TC (open speedo) *17.5 RCGT (open speedo, HPI X-Patterns, Realistic bodies, no dish wheels!) *21.5 VTA 4.2 roll out, Vintage tires, rims and bodies...corvette included!) *F1 Tamiya silver can motors only!(any foam or rubber tire) 2) Race Fees: $15 for the first class $5 for the 2nd and 3rd class (if your racing 3 classes your only paying $20!) 3) Race Time and Days: *We are looking at a start date of APRIL 3rd. *Saturday's @ 2:00 p.m. registration is from noon till 2:00 p.m. all money is to be given to the race announcer! 4) Race Schedule: *** Trophy races will be announced *** *April 3 2010 - first day *April 10 2010 - club race *April 17 2010 - club race *April 24 2010 - T&L goes to Jackson!!! *May 1 2010 - club race *May 8 2010 - club race *May 15 2010 - club race *May 22 2010 - IRS nitro oval series *May 29 2010 - club race *June 5 2010 - Shootout warm up *June 12 2010 - The PapoSwing R/C Shootout *June 19 2010 - club race *June 26 2010 - club race *July 3 2010 - club race *July 10 2010 - club race *July 17 2010 - club race *July 24 2010 - club race *July 31 2010 - R/C Blast *August 7 2010 - club race *August 14 2010 - ORL race *August 21 2010 - *Trophy Race details to come>>> on hold till mid or late september *August 28 2010 - club race *September 4 2010 - club race *September 11 2010 - club race *September 18 2010 - club race *September 25 2010 - club race 5) Rules: *To start a class...3 or more cars, 2 is a no go! *Your almost guaranteed a shout in the race report just for showing up by the man himself "The Original Race reporter PAPOSWING" Trains and Lanes Oval Schedule 16 No RacingMay 2 Normal Show 9 - No Racing (ORL @ Willow Mill on May 9th) 22 PA Nitro Tour 23 Normal Show 30 Normal Show June 6 - No Racing (ORL @ Trax 70 on June 5th) 13 Normal Show 20 - No Racing 27 Normal Show July 4 - No Racing 11 - No Racing (ORL @ TBD on July 10th) 18 No Racing (Paul Heitz Memorial @ Trax 70 on July 17th & Marshalls Carpet Race) 25 Normal Show August 1 - No Racing 7 ORL Race 8 No Racing (ORL Race previous day) 15 No Racing (IRS Pro-Oval Shootout @ Trax 70 on July 14th) 22 Normal Show 29 - No Racing September 5 Final Show 12 - No Racing (ORL @ TBD on September 11th) 19 - No Racing 26 - No Racing <<<IMPORTANT>>> **We will have the track resurfaced before the outdoor season starts and then go over which is the "SMARTEST" tire we should run for the spec tire to keep racing costs down, and eliminate the dreaded "your tire makes your car faster!, I can't afford your tire" argument! but If by chance the resurfacing isn't completed before the season starts...by all means run what ever tire that gets the job done!, but as stated above when the track is done, we will have a "sit-down" on what keeps the playing field even!!! UNLESS...it's decided to keep T&L an "open tire" track, these are the rules we are using as our guideline!** **This year the race fee is raised to $15 to keep up with regular track maintenance and to have sufficient funds for up-keep around the track...it is after all the Great Outdoors and most of us have already seen the T&L river** **We also wanted to coordinate our schedule with that of other tracks time slots and race on a different day...no dice with the locals, but when all was said and done the decision to take care of home is the best thing for this track and the shop** **I will update this first page as more info comes in** **If there are Questions about anything mentioned above or something I forgot to touch base on, pm me or email me at [email protected]** |
Outstanding news...I am excited to get back out doors and burn some rubber on asphalt :sneaky: (no pun Intended) :lol: I know this will be exciting season as alot of guys have been taking the winter off and will be eager to get back to touring car.

Kitch, I am in for 17.5, 13.5 would be nice but the track is just right for 17.5 with the new software 203 and most of the guys I think would run 17.5 anyway 13.5 is a little too much.

How are you guys planning on resurfacing the track????? Any help needed let me know!!!
