Personally I don't care much for the cash races. I would much rather see the money go towards the track or more door prizes instead. When money is on the line people get too serious. Also, it seems like there is always a hand full of out of town pros that shows up and win and the track regulars get nothing in return but higher entry fees. Just my opinion...I'll be there either way to race.

I agree ppl do become how do i say it nicely... different is a good word when money is involved. Problem is its about the only way to draw in more people other than the regulars. Even the regulars seem to have disappeared somewhat. Have to take the good with the bad i guess. So anyway either way ill be there.

When it comes to money races sometimes some folks do get carried away. But like Mike said whatever it takes to pull in a crowd.

When it comes to getting beat by "Out of Towners" there is a simple solution to that. Don't get beat... be faster... I'm not showing up planning to get beat. (Well… in Stock SCT anyway)

Seriously though, I still have a lot to learn about offroad, but I always learn a lot more when i get stomped by someone who is faster than by winning. I get better myself by being pushed by those that are faster. I look forward to it.

It should be a fun day. The weather sounds like it is going to be perfect.

I know Dwane is setting up a display for a fair in Stafford county this weekend and it has him preoccupied at the moment.
It looks like everyone wants an answer on the cash before they'll sign up. Who we do have signed up for the most part has said they'd rather see the cash go to the track. I should be talking to Dwane soon as I'm putting together a video of past races for the display.
This race's purpose was to draw more than just the club racers. Cash typically helps.
I'll specifically ask Dwane if we'd like to narrow down cash to 1/8th scale with 4 or more entries. Unless mod or stock wants to put some money down

I'll be there with bells on, no cash needed to motivate me to race haha, but still its true that the promise of cash is apparently one of the few ways to pull more racers in. I wonder if there is a way to advertise for the track to draw more regular club racers in?

Eiether I'm prepping the 1/8 nitro and 1/10 2wd buggy for battle on Sunday, calling for purr-fect raceday weather.
