November 12th - 15th
Its going to be a HUGE event this year! A lot of guys have been asking about it and by word of mouth some BIG time factory guys have said they should be able to make it since we have a date this early in the year!
As usual the 12th will be open practice, the 13th will be open practice/club race, 14th will be "stock" day, and the 15th will be "mod" day!
Classes this year will be
Beginners
Stock Truck (13.5)
Mod Truck
Masters Truck
Stock Buggy (13.5)
Mod Buggy
Stock Short Course Truck
Mod Short Course Truck
10.5 4WD Buggy (aka "super stock")
Mod 4WD Buggy
There will also be a thread on the Kansas/Missouri forum
I hope we have an awesome turnout!
Some BIG guns have been known to frequent this race; like Billy Fischer, Jared Tebo, Dustin Evans, Matt Chambers, Kyle Skidmore, Matt Lee, Cody Jandrakovic, and not to mention all the VERY fast local guys! Sign up early as Pit spots are assigned and will be gobbled up quickly!
I hope to see lots of new faces this year as well as the ones I have already met!

Hey Cody way to get it going and hope you can bring in some of the factory guys as well as all the local racers in the area. It has a reputation for always being one of the best races around. I hope everyone can make it. Trivia! What car won the first Fall Classic?

From what I have heard from the guys that went to Lincoln for nats there was losta word spread especially to the Factory drivers! Also from what I heard that there just might be a pretty healthy factory turnout this year!
I am not naming names but I hear it just may be a big big race this year, but it always is right?

Yes, big difference.
So what classifies as a "big, big" race? And does anyone recall what the turnout was last year? I think it was around 80ish with total entries around 130??? Of course not everyone runs more than one class. I'll be down for 2wd, 4wd, and truck both days.
Also the 4wd is looking very strong for club races this year. I know of 8 confirmed weekly racers just in Hutch. Then of course the Wichita boys and a couple Western Kansas fellows that show up frequently. Man, I can't wait to pull the trigger on the 4wd.

I am not sure what vehicle won but I know it wasnt a Losi or Associated since they werent out yet. Tony Leatherman, Randy Link or Geno Hendricks might remember that was before my racing days. LOL

The Fall Classic race started out outdoor in south hutch by the Sundome then moved to Kanox until I think 93' or 94' then it moved indoors and has been there ever since.
R/C Superdome & T.Q. Pro Shop (HP Hobbies now) opened on October 1 1990 by my pops Joe, myself and Randy Link (track manager then) and Glen Bishop. We went on to buy out Glen 2 yrs later and then in October of 2003 sold to Steve the current owner so the indoor track has been around for 19 years this October. The track has had many numerous volunteers help out with track layouts, races, opening the doors, etc. Myself for 5 yrs bounced back and forth between race director and hobby shop with the help of many people Mike Elam, John Davies, Mark Perry, Randy and Shela Link, Hendricks, just to name a few and now I know there is Kevin, Frank, Jason and a few others that I dont know names for that help out.
Many props to all those who helped myself, Joe and Steve out over the years.
