I'd like mod - but would run stock (depending on the battery rules), if the turn out was there...
then again, I need to look at the stock micro rules - I don't think I own an original, out-of-the-box chassis anymore
I remember the old micro rules used to allow aftermarket chassis - or was that just the mod class??
what kind of motors??

The A/M chassis was only allowed in mod.
We're running box stock! Stock chassis, motor, and HPI rubber tires. Only exceptions are some have steel universals, and some have alum front knuckles (things we are breaking)
As for batteries, we are running 6 cell, most are AAA's.
I don't think these guys would put anything more into them.... but they keep asking if we are going to do it again this year.

I got aaa cells so that wouldn't be a problem - and I know I got a couple of stock motors in my collection I got HPI rubber tires, so I'm not concerned about them, either just the chassis
So I'd might be just up got stock micro anyways

I have at least 3, maybe a 4th for mod micro...
And maybe even a Jr Backbreaker for stock micro...

RE:HPI Challenge Vintage Rules.
We're keeping it 6 cell to allow someone to be able to show up with a stick pack and join the fun. Basically to accommodate any beginners. Plus anyone can always step up to the USVTA rules/sanctioned events once they get into it. The purpose of the hpi Challenge events is to introduce the general public to RC competition in the simplest way possible
RE:Micro Classes
In the interest of simplifying the classes, depending on the interest level, the classes will be "stock/rubber" and "unlimited mod/open tire (foam or rubber)". Any chassis mods, options allowed for either class. Minimum 8 pre registered signups.
RE: Offroad
We have not scheduled any off road events yet
I will be back in the office on the 7th (....1 more day ahhhh ) and we'll post an HPI Challenge 09 Info/Schedule page on the site with more details.
Thanks,
AH

I'd be open (for Ray's event) to run whatever class gets the most...If we get more guys willing to run the stock motors/any batteries, then that would be cool...would be nice to see a large field of micros once again...And maybe even get Ray to do a 10+ car "A" main
but I like the idea of relaxing the rules..

what
Hey fallas not trying to take over the thread, but I see some of you are interested in micro's. In the beginning of March there will be a two day race just for micro's (1/18 touring, Pan Cars, and recoils) @ www.rctrack.com (Maryland) called the Micro Racing League. There will be trophies and prizes. There is a forum under mini's and micro's then click mrl and you can get all the information or just pm me....
What’s up DJ Ray (pimpin aint easy?)
