On the Li-Po capacity limit I’d say leave it opens for right now. I am running 3600 Orion and I am looking for 1 or 2 more packs but I have the heck of the time finding one. Most shop don't re stock them any more or have to special order at the MSRP if I really want one that bad.

The next thing I can find and fit my car(s) and wiring is Orion 4800 or Trakpower 4900. I believe 4 months from now we may have a hard time to find anything below 4600 at a reasonable price if we can find one since people will make only the high capacity. The rest may not be ROAR approved packs.

If 2 of my 3600 dies before the race in August I will be in the scramble mode try to find the pack that fit and capacity that will meets the limit.

SMC has 4000 on the shelf but the wiring came out the wrong side of the pack. I don’t know about the others I will have a heck of the time re wiring my car every time I put the pack from difference manufacturers or matchers on the car 2 or 3 times a day

I wish they standardized the hard case just like they do on AA cells so I can just buy it off of the shelf regardless of what brand it is.

Beside limiting the Li-Po capacity probably won’t make any different whether 3600 or 4600 pack. If you want to gear your motor to 350 degrees just cuz you have 5000 pack, be my guest.

I ran 13.5 last week at the C I’m only missing about 1800mah after 5 min race and I hit stuffs during the run. It's a myth, size doesn't matter

Just my 2 pennies.

The 4600 limit is only on NiMH. It must be roar approved lipo to run it that's all.

My bad, not only need to learn how to write. Need to learn how to read as well.

Too bad it wasn't going to be on Aug 4th, it's my B-day perhaps you all can let me win something.

From Scooter at Tekin:

Talking with Jim we are not going to be doing anything for a little bit
especially after finding some of the door prizes we have furnished on E-bay
for a really stupid low price.

Unfortunately he sent this email to me after he said that they WOULD help us out. Take it for what its worth everyone.

ok guys, due to circumstances beyond my control, I'm leaving the hobby. I spoke with Casey today and he will be taking over for this race. Also, I have everything up for sale in the forsale threads. It has been an awesome time racing with many of you.

Hopefully there will be a turnout for micros. We have a few guys in Frederick that want to race them but can't seem to get enough people at the track together. Maybe this event will be different.

I guess I can keep the tc for a little bit longer. I have a few questions though

1. Since Jaco is a sponsor, will there be discounts on their tires for this event?

2. What is the deadline for entries, and do they need to be paid online, in-person, or either?

3. ROAR only approved sensored brushless motors right? Is there any specs as to what brushless esc can be used?

Thanks!

Hey Ben good to see you're still around.

To answer your questions.

1. We are still working on the tires for this race. If (and that is an if) we make this a controlled tire race I will try to work something out with that company to get a better price on the tires.

2. You can pay anytime up until the day of the race. If you plan to practice on Friday we will waive the practice fee if you pay that day (Friday). You must pay on Friday in order for this to apply.

3.Yes. Only ROAR approved brushless motors will be allowed allowed. There is no tech on the esc.

Hope to see you soon.

Casey

So Saturday would be too late to sign up then? The deadline is Friday?
