I ran it at 3.50:1 and it wasn't slow...it ran hotter than the 13.5 for sure...but it didn't seem much if any slower. I was passing 13.5s on the straight.

It was pretty nice, because it wasn't as touchy...you could run into the throttle a little more without over-driving it, but it had plenty of cajones to race with.

I'm sure we'll make it. I may have another guy, plus it's a real pain to even load a page at this point...so I bet a lot of people have just given up on this site for a couple days. Besides...it's only Monday and we're almost at the minimum already.

P.S. I think Stormer Hobbies has the most Cyclone parts in general. Although, I wish our local hobby shop would start carring more Cyclone parts-hint-hint, nudge-nudge Speed Tech RC

So I wonder how many are running mod?? I'm signed up for it but if there's not enough I'm wondering if I need to bolt in the 10.5...

edit: I tried to get my mod gear ratio to the recommended 10to1 but I'm finding out the stock cyclone motor mount doesn't have room for that small a pinion so maybe 19turn class it is.

run a 108 or 110 spur - you might want to get the brushless motor mount to raise the layshaft up a little to be safe.

Yeah- I'm maxed out on the spur size and I can still only get to about 8.5. No time now to order a new motor mount etc. Oh wells.
