Default 2007 ROAR Region 2 Races and Schedule

Hey Guys,

Just looking to start a thread for our region and put some dates out there. This thread will be for On/Off Road races.

The other thing we would like to do is to get your feed back on how to make Region 2 better. This thread is not for flaming on ROAR, we are trying to help promote the ROAR racing in our area. No reply will be valid unless you use your full name no handles.

Please post your questions and comments

Hey Mike,

Yeah there will be two on road regionals this year Carpet and Asphalt. We are currently looking for the asphalt track. Carl heads up the on road and I handle the off road. I am hoping to be at all 5 regionals this year, that will be a ton wrenching

We will try and post the race schedule as soon as we confirm the dates.

What is the best thing to do so that the 301 raceway gets a real chance at the on-road Nats? Thanks Mike Keely

Cool 301 RACEWAY !

I second that - 301 Raceway should get an Onroad National race ! Hopefuly we can hold the On Road Regionals again maybe everyone will see what a great track it is . I'm sure Chris has already submited the app. for the National event .
That would be real ......Great track ,Great location , Hotels , Airports just a few miles away . . . .

Thanks Vanwag for the updates.

As for 301 getting a Nats we will do what we can, the Nats I am hoping will swing back east next year. I will work with Carl to make sure all Nat bids for Region 2 are in on time and we provide the best information to ROAR.

Does 301 run rubber tires for there 10th scale races?

If you have seen or heard of any problems with ROAR in our region just PM and we can help fix it.

Does 301 have electric??? supplying for a club race is a bit different than supplying for a National. Not bashing...just want to bring up a point that needs to be addressed way before hand.

VORRA should have it's schedule for this year hammered out this weekend. I'll post it asap. We usually run 2nd and 4th sundays but with holidays and such, it's subject to change. i'll keep ya'll updated.

Anyone know if Debbies will have their on-road outdoor track ready this year? And, will it be a ROAR track?

Nice to hear that, I would like to make a trip down to check out the place and see what we can do to help them in a Bid for the National. I think there might be one or two big eletric races there this summer which will them get a feel for the prep that needs to be done to hold a big event.

Here is my e-mail addy if the 301 crew can contact me

Hey Chewdogg, thanks for clearing that up and adding something meaningful to the conversation. I wish it would rub off on others.

PS I have heard nothing but good things about 301 and would love to eventually get down there. Quinn and some of the others speak very highly of that track.

Nice to see you putting out all this effort Kevin....I know what you got going on outside of RC so I guess I kinda appreciate it a little more. Is Carl stepping back or is he still going to be active in the on road scene? He had alot of good ideas and it would suck to see him not as readily involved.

well, hope to see you guys on the track this summer.

Why are carpet regionals not being held until next carpet season?
