Default Race Results

We are getting closer to fixing the problems with JLAP. I have been able to recover the lap times for all of the heats of all races in the series so those will be available at the store. Working on getting the points next. We had an option checked that the software guys had not tested, so a fix will be installed tonight.

On a more personal note I just cut some motors last night and am pretty sure I have to order a new lathe bit, as this was my first, and although I've gotten the hang of it now there were many missed passes that hit the windings. Is the diamond bit really worth the money? Is the carbide bit stronger and more durable than the diamond bit?
I think I'm going to try the carbide bit till I learn how to really operate this thing, lol. Also, as I was reading the directions last night, it says to run the lathe at 5 volts. Has anyone ever heard this or even tried it? I've always cut my coms at 2 volts. Any thoughts anyone?

I run mine from 2volts to no more than 3. If your new lathe came with a motor in it maybe the motor is setup for 5 volts. More than like they have a motor with like 55 winds on it so the extra voltage is needed to make it spin a little faster or equal to what a stock 27 turn motor would turn at 2 volts.

It's an Orion lathe with an Orion modified motor in it. I'm wondering if I should just put a stock motor in it and be done with it at 2 volts?

ken, either run that mod motor at 2v or pick up an integy 55T lathe motor. its what i have in mine and i turn at 12V. also nice because its a bearing motor, not bushing like a stock motor. less vibration.

I would hook it up at 2 volts and see how fast it spins. Let Sr check it out this weekend if your racing and if not I will check it out next week when I race again.
