Hey Chris,
Got my case today and it looks perfect. Found it online at wal-mart dot com and saved some $$'s on shipping.

Thanks again for the tip (or thank you Mr. Dawson!).

The new rules on batteries are all about the Nats, not the Regional race next weekend. For the regional races the stick packs can be just about anything you want within the original rules for battery types/sizes.

The Nats is where the spec battery comes into play where you can't do anything with the shrinkwrap.

So what's the weather forecast out there looking like for the race? It's been nasty hot/steamy these past few weeks down in the deep South. Any relief out there?

So who's gonna be there Saturday practicing? Doc? Bruce/Steve? Chris? I hope to be there by 1:00pm to get some much needed high-temp practice in. I ran F201 this past weekend and learned that A's don't like 150 F track temps!

Weather is still hot, high 90's low 100's and pretty dry. However, some ares got thunder storm and humidity.

For Saturday practice, Fred confirmed the big "Reedy" tent will be up with tables. As mentioned, there is no power over there so need to bring generators. Nice thing about where the tent will be is you have a good view of the track, and the sun comes in from behind (the covered side) so you won't get fried.

Hmm.....Generator will be tough. Are there still plenty of AC plugs under the not-so-covered area? Can you "reserve" a spot on Saturday for the race on Sunday, or is it a mad scramble at 6:00am?

Bill- I'll be there early Sat for a day of (much needed) practice and can save you a spot if you want me to. Sunday is usually first "in line gets first shot".

Smile Yikes, TCS is coming up FAST!

Hey guys...I thought I would just give a shout-out, since I'm new to RCTech.

I guess you could say I'm a "regular" at the Aliso Tamiya USA track. I think I'm just going to stay anonymous for now, since I'm still of "newbie" status.

This year, I've decided to run GT1 and GT3. GT1 for hardcore racing competition, and GT3 for me to just goof around (even though there are hardcore Mabuchi racers in GT3).

So who are the other regulars to the Aliso track on this forum?

Doc,
If you could save me a little pit space that would be great! I'm at the mercy of Delta, but if all goes well I should be touching down at 10:30am and rushing the family to our friend's house. My wife is very understanding when it comes to race weekends and knows I'll be dropping them off quickly and heading to the track. If she's lucky I'll stop the van first.

Bill,
A's do not work in F201 there starting @ 133 degrees and up B's are the way to go. Bruce and I and Serle Vander Hinkley will be there on Sat @ O dark 30 to get enough room for the Hickman Bros 18 wheeler transport rig coming in from the east!! "After all it is our tradition to take up at least 2/3 rd's of the pit area". It appears that it will be 92 on Sat and 91 on Sun. IT WILL BE CRUCIAL TO GET THE CORRECT SET-UP FOR THE CHANGING TEMP TRACK CONDITIONS.

See Ya there!
Steve.
