R/C Tech Subscriptions are now available at a cost of $25/year!

** SUBSCRIBING IS 100% OPTIONAL, AND NON-SUBSCRIBERS WILL NOT LOSE ANY ACCESS! **

Here's a quick rundown on what you'll get for subscribing:

• An R/C Tech decal sheet
• An Xtreme R/C Cars decal sheet
• A 10% discount on R/C Tech apparel and merchandise
• A $3/year discount on Xtreme R/C Cars magazine subscriptions
• The ability to use links/colors/fonts in signatures (non-subscribers will be limited to plain text)
• A special insignia in posts denoting subscriber-level access
• Access to the R/C Tech Flash Arcade (a 100% futureal-coded original)
• Access to a Subscribers section of the site which will, at some point, exist :)
• A Subscribers-only newsletter containing special deals from R/C Tech partners
• The knowledge that you are helping the site sustain itself and GROW!

As an additional bonus, the first 100 subscribers will receive a special gift as a "thank you" for being there for us. I'm not sure what this will be yet, but I will make sure it's cool. The leading candidates so far are either a pit towel or a pit plaque with your subscriber number on it. I will keep everybody posted.

Some of the features above (signatures, arcade, post insignia) will not happen until our software upgrade to vBulletin 3 (see more information below).

So how does one subscribe? Right now I am set up to handle everything through Paypal, which is the easiest thing for me. To subscribe, go to http://www.paypal.com and send a $25.00 (US dollars) payment to [email protected]. Make sure to include your forum ID name as well as the mailing address where you would like your decals to be sent.

If you are overseas from me and cannot use Paypal, please send me an e-mail letting me know how you would like to pay and we will work something out. I don't want to leave anybody out.

don't have paypal :( i could do western union but i'll be charged almost another USD20 for sending u the fee. cc would be excellent but i could also do thru ikobo. u'll need to withdraw the fund from any ATM machines displaying PLUS sign using i-Kard (will be sent to you by ikobo). might take about 10 days from end-to-end. lemme know :-)

One of the questions I received was whether or not people would get to keep their subscriber number forever, and the answer is yes. If you are subscriber #25 now, then you don't renew for 3 years, but renew again sometime in 2008, you will still be subscriber #25. :)

Hopefully by then I will have that in place, yes. I am not looking that far forward yet, I am devoting most of my spare time to working on the new software and related aspects.

I've seen, and had a chance to "test" the games, and they are pretty cool.

I can't wait to see who can hold the High Score the longest - I have a feeling it won't be me. :lol:

Unfortunately, All of the subscribers will have to wait for Shane to do the software upgrade for the games. They will be worth the wait though - I've spent enough time on them at least.

TSR6 is right about the games arcade, I am still working on testing it AND the new forum software to make sure the upgrade goes as smooth as possible. The last thing I want is more than an hour or two of downtime.

Thanks to all who have subscribed so far, I know it's pretty tough to generate widespread interest right now since the new features are still in development and even the decals and stuff aren't ready, but I do thank all who have come on board so far. I will keep working hard no matter what to make sure things get better and better around here. :)

Would it be possible for you to use the www.ikobo.com service from Singapore (the one that KoE suggested earlier)? I am looking for ways other than Paypal to take payments. You could always draw out US funds and then airmail them to me, but that seems even more complicated.

Shipping the stuff outside of the US is no problem for me, I've already had a few people sign up who are overseas.
