mine came from "9fingers"

Then the next day I got the warning that someone tried to get into my account (but failed). Coincidence? Probably not...

Simmer down guys...

Feel free to post the IP addresses and such. I've posted this to Internet Brands, and I'm sure it'll be helpful when they respond.

Wild Cherry - You'll need to contact your Virus protection software company for how to resolve it.

Savage - I agree. I posted it to Internet Brands last night ( This thread is the first I've heard of the problem, and I didnt see it until last night. ). It's in their hands to resolve it now.

Mine came from "ctmCEN"

Screwed my other laptop all up it won't do anything except keep restarting.... I've been laid up in the hospital, and some people have been sending me videos they thought would keep my mind off the situation at hand, never thought such a problem would come from RC Tech

No. It doesn't work that way. Yes, I saw WC message, but I think something else happened around the same time he is getting confused as this being the cause.

Anyone else notice that there were quite a few Phishing attempts that came from users with user names starting with "B" (The one I got came from a user name that started with a B) and now there are a few from users starting with "C". The day after my PM with some video links my password was attempted five times and locked out. These attempts came from the following IP address.

81.186.252.27

I am very happy that my AV software, firewall, OS, and spyware blocking software were all up to date and running. My laptop came back clean from AVG, AdAware, and Trend Micro's Housecall.

Active AV/AS Programs
AVG 8
Comodo BOClean
Zone Alarm
WinPatrol

I run AdAware and Spybot S&D at least once a week. I also recommend a password that is difficult to hack. Use upper and lowercase letters and numbers. Stay away from names and words. If you have trouble keeping track of your passwords, use a good password manager.

No matter what you use, keep it updated. You can be safe using FREE software,(like me) or you can be safe using big $ software. Both need to be up to date.
