The picture of the Yellow & Black F1 car in the rain with the water coming off the tires and the reflection of the car on the road is very cool!

Nicely done!

Curious as to some of your shutter speeds might be at with the onroad cars.... Nice blur with the car sharp....

I use:
Shutter speed: 1/200 up to 1/500 depending the speed the car goes. 1/320 is an overall good speed. The ISO is set to 800 in daylight. With both settings set to a steady value the camera can use its processor power to only light balance and auto focus the lens which is set to "servo" (continious following)

The new 80D camera is much quicker on the auto focus and for the best result I should have the newer version of the 100-400 lens to make it extreme fast but even a used one for 1600 euro is at this time too much....

The f1 pics look very realistic to the 1:1 brothers. Great shots and great rc.

Over here the rules are simple, they have to remain stock (no option parts, springs etc) and only runned with a Carson dragster 16T motor/ESC combo.

We also used to have 200mm Nitro trucks back in the day (90's)as a serpent support class.

The fightercup is olnly for the kids. You can buy your own car but there are also some available for hire. The car need to be runnend with a NiMh battery and the stock 540 silvercan. They are slow but still can be shot as they are fast.

Funny thing was when I arrived the guy with the microphone (I know from way back RC car racing) anounced me to his public. In a talk with him he said that he would have contaced me because the last pics were great stuff.

I just want to share my love of the hobby with others.

In the meantime, I created an action shot album of some Slash races that we've done. Feel free to share any of these as you like.

I have got my current used Canon V1 100-400 lens for just 300 euro from a manager of my previous job. Afer 1 year of use by my self it needed a total clean up and revision due some worn rubbers and lose screws and did cost me another 300 euro. It was fully taken appart and cleaned all parts, made as new. But it is an old lens, de newer model takes more ligh and has a faster focus. I almost had one for 750 euro from the same guy but was allready sold.

The Canon 80D camera was by then about 1100 euro, with exchange of my old 600D and getting a 50mm lens with it I had a decent price.

Total gear I have:
- Canon 80D

- Cheap Travor RF550D ring flash with several colors filters
- Dual slot charger with some batteries
- Set of focus adapter rings

Did get myself a simple 128 LED UV flashlight I am going to rebuild to a camera flasher, the 1st ry as a simple UV lamp.
