I know you're looking for a heli that's got seperate componentry, but I have to recommend that you take a look at the E-Flite Blade CP. I've been abusing mine for over a month and have only broken a few sets of main rotor blades. This is a 6 channel, collective pitch machine, RTF, comes with an 8 cell battery and charger for around $219.99. No other heli in this price range comes even close. And frankly, it'd be stupid to spend any more on a first helicopter.
This thing is so good that even heli pros keep these things around as "bashers", to fly around their houses.
