Default WTB brushless motor/ESC for 1/10 Stampede

Have a 8 or so year old Stampede that my son is using. It's all stock right and would like to get a little more speed out of it. I am looking for a used and affordable brushless motor/ESC combo to put in it. Would prefer Lipo ready. Let me know what you have (and if I can use stock pinion and spur gears). Thanks...

It's not 1/16th, it's 1/10th. And if its that old, I'd recommend either getting the proline diff kit or a new truck. The gears in the older trucks aren't designed to take the abuse brushless motors can throw out.

Thanks for the info, just seemed too small for a 1/10. Does that mean a newer Titan 12t and XL-5 would be too much also? I realize that the Titan is brushed.

That would be a better fit, otherwise, look for a xl5 with lipo cutoff and run a different motor. Like a 19t speed gems would be a rocket for a kid! Then the addition of a lipo, it would be even better!
