UE Supermaxx Titanium Nitride (TiN) Coated 8mm CVDs and Drive Cups
After searching for months for shops that can provide Ti-Ni coating, I finally managed to get some parts coated. It was not easy as not many shops would like to run a small batch as the cost per run is really expensive. It was not cheap either as I had I to pay few hundreds dollars to get these and some other parts coated with Ti-Ni. 1 piece cvd cost me about $35 to get it coated.
I guess I dont have to elaborate any further about Ti-Ni coating. Its extremely hard surface and good corrosion resistance (no more rusty drive shaft). I tried rubbing the pieces with sand paper and surprisingly no scratch at all!
However, I need to let this go as I need some cash to get my car repaired.
a) Drive Cups: $65 shipped OBO
The drive cups were new cups before the coating. They were never used/installed after coated:
b) 8mm CVDs: $155 shipped OBO shipped
The CVDs were hardly used and were in excellent condition before the coating. They were never used/installed after coated as well. They will come with the CVD hex and nuts (not in the pic)
