The novak doesnt but the Losi does. I dont have a single battery that doesnt have a deans so its literally never been hooked up. I used the same model losi esc in my spec class xxx-sct all winter with nimh and lipo and it worked just fine. You do have to switch modes on the esc to turn the lipo mode on, takes 2 seconds.
