Most organisations can not afford a new AMB transponder system at $8K(AUD)
These 2nd hand systems are less than $3k(AUD) each and are in very good condition.
All transponders are in perfect working order.

For more details http://users.bigpond.net.au/bigfix/transponders

For a quick response please contact me via my website email if you are interested. Price is negotiable.
You are also welcome to PM me but please do not post a reply in the forum as I forget to check back here.

best regards

Default amb

! major problem with that system...
does not work with personal transponders.
That means everyone would have no choice but to use house ones, and that really sucks.
That may be my least favorite thing about racing.

Well thank you for your input and sharing your insights with us.
I know these systems do not support PT's and I have stated that fact with the specs on the link.

What "really sucks" is counting laps manually. So stop your whinging!

You seem to have missed my first point, the systems are more affordable than a new system.
Many small organisations can not afford a spanky new AMBrc3 system and using an old system to help them get along is how they get to afford to buy a PT supporting system.

You need to realize NOT every group of racers is "BIG TIME" Professionals, nor do they have the NEED for having a PERSONAL transponder.

Getting a NEW organization up and running a less expensive system works great - BIG DEAL you don't get to use Personals...you do get your laps counted w/o someone doing it by hand and chicken scratches on a piece of paper and it doesn't cost $6000.00+ U.S.

..I'll go you one better than that though - IF your local track still uses the AMB20 system - get with TERRY S at MRT and pick up ones of their 'personal' style transponders for the AMB20 system. It has a switch where you can select any one of the 10 signals the AMB20 recognizes.

CLUBS - if you have a AMB20 system that needs Transponders rebuilt - and/or AMBrc transponders that are our of warranty that need to be rebuilt - JEFF is a great guy and provides an awesome service. (It's not too bad to ship stuff down UNDER either)

Hey SWTour,
Thanks for your kind words about my transponder repair services.
You have obviously one of my happy customers, but can not tie your forum name to who you are, but thanks anyway.

Yeah, the MRT guys are pretty clever and their AMB20 transponder is a great idea.

I am just saying.
I understand where these would be good for a new orginization.
My local track has one that supports pt's.
No chicken scratch around here.
I just noticed it and thought i would mention it.
Some may not realize that fact is all.

Hey, great to hear from you Joe.
I'm over 45 and the memory is not so good. But now you have jogged the memory. So my turn to say SWTour is a great guy and fantastic to trade with. BTW, I've used some of the new casings I got from you. They sure make a transponder look like new again!

Hope you are keeping well and your events are successful.
Cheers mate!
