Spektrum DX5 Rugged and 3 receivers / price dropped

I have a Spektrum DX5 Rugged I picked up at my local hobby shop along with a SR515, SR315 and SR310 receivers. I have decided to go a different route for radios. I have the original box and the SR515 has never been put in anything. I did remove the thumb control. I paid 279.99 for the transmitter and SR515, 49.99 for SR315 and the SR 310 is older but works perfectly. Over 350 invested and it’s 3 weeks old. Asking 160 FIRM. What was the thumb control you removed? Was it functional to make changes on the radio? Do you have a pic? Was it removed by taking a screw or two off or did you have to break/cut it off? Thanks!

It had a thumb piece on the back of the wheel mount for one handed driving for crawlers and I cut it off because it was constantly in the way.
