Where would one plug in a transponder if they didn't have a receiver with an extra port? (aux, 2nd steering, batt, etc) I don't see an extra port on these?

Not a fan of Y adapters if that's the solution.

Neat combo concept.

...and if you wanted to add a fan and transponder without a Y connector (which is how I have one of my cars set up), the fan will need to be connected directly to the esc, if to the battery plugs then needs to be able to handle the full lipo voltage (8.4V actual, 7.4V nominal). Additionally, using a two wire transponder may work better in the BIND port than 3-wire (sometimes won’t connect to 3-wire transponder unless you unplug, turn on both tx/esc to let it connect to rx, then can plug transponder back in). Not sure if the above applies to everyone but just sharing my experience. Spektrum support doesn’t have an answer other than maybe transponder confusing the rx, thinking you’re trying to bind the rx. I suggested to them that since the 6240rx is supposed to be based on the sr2010 rx, it should support an additional AUX1 port.

Great info on the servo receiver combo guys. It's a real nice combo to add to a stock class setup if ur trying to save the most weight and you run spektrum.

Default transponder

I had same prob with 3 wire transponder. Just pull the white wire out of the connector and your good to go. Unless your track makes use of that info from transponder hence needing that third wire. I have 2 of these 6240 rx and they work flawlessly.
