Default Liquid mask?

Is the hobby grade stuff like Fasmask a latex based solution?

Is it the same solution that can be found at a paint shop or is the hobby grade solution slightly different?

Fasmask is latex based and it is a lot different the the 3M stuff from the auto paint supply. The 3M stuff that I tried did not stick as good as Fasmask it also shrunk and lifted when it dryed.

I have had very good luck using A product called Sign Strip made by Spraylat. It is an industrial spray mask used in the sign painting business. It is similar to Bob Dively except it is much thicker and is only available in 1 gal. or larger quantities. At $45 a gal. it is actually cheaper than Bob Dively.

Please tell me where you are buying Sign Strip for $45 a gallon.

I buy my supplies from Coast A/B and they are $75 a gallon.

Im still using Dively for the time being.

I have used both and they both have good and bad. Bob Dively's seems to stick better and spray better but it takes more coats. Fasmask takes one to two less coats for the same coverage thou cleaning the gun after fasmask take more time. To me they both seem to cut and peal about the same. For me the bottom line is I can get fasmask at wholesale and have to pay retail for Bob Dively's so I normaly use faskmask.

I should say $45ish. I'm in the western suburbs of Chicago and I get Sign Strip from Neon Materials in Elmhurst Ill. It helps that I live and work minutes from their warehouse. I also use Bob Dively when I'm in a pinch.
