Default Can you back acrylics with laquers or enamels for protection?

I tried using Faskoat for a protective coating but it seems kind of soft and allows nicks very easily. Can I use a laquer or enamel as a final coat to protect whats underneath or will the chemicals damage the paint?

Yes My personal fav is rust-oleum, just be sure to mist the first coat as a heavy coat can cause the paint to wrinkle and lift. Dont ask how I know that .

A clear enamel laquer will do the job.

I like to use white or black "Ace Hardware" enamel. Super cheep and is resistant to fuel and scratching.

+2 as in twice lmao. It sucks too because you've completed the whole paint job with out messing up then you wreck it with the backer!

To add to the thread, make sure you use a gloss finish. They are easier to clean and hold less debris.
