http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/produ...ervice#tablink

just bought this air compressor thought it was going to work, but seems not to have a moisture collection, i does have a condesion drain valve on the tank, but that is used when you are draining tank for storage is anybody else using this compressor to paint bodies? thanks for your input, because if i can't use this i am going to take this sucker back, i want a good compressor, any ideas, not to make the mistake again.

I am using a similar compressor the Campbell Hausfeld quiet air compressor

Quiet 2-gallon air compressor
Model: FP2040

it's not heavy duty thought but it works.

If you are serious about painting...you might wanna get the Iwata brands.

You could always buy an inline moisture trap like this one.

Mini General Purpose Filter

5-micron filter removes unwanted dirt particles and condensed water to extend tool life
See-through bowl with metal guard allows easy monitoring of fluid level
Features a manual drain and screw-on bowl
21 SCFM flow capacity @ 90 PSI. 150 PSI maximum pressure. 1/4-inch NPT(F) ports.

Warranty: 1 Year
New Unit: $13.

I'm using one of these on my compressor

Pretty much any hardware store carries them.

http://www.lowes.com/lkn?action=prod...24-1126-IFA106

or one with a regulator

http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=43242

They are definately worth while

You could get them at Wal-Mart or Home Depot also.

How do you install it? This is kind of a dumb question.

You can a quick connect coupler or take the quick connect off of your regulator and screw the water trap on in its place and put the quick connect coupler after the water trap . I have the same compressor and I installed the water trap and have no problem . They are available most anywhere . If you have any questions as to mounting it just ask the people where you purchase it . Instructions should come with the unit as to how to connect it . Piece of cake.

All you do is screw it on.
Here's a pic of how mine is setup.

Be sure to put some teflon tape on the threads before you screw it in to ensure a proper seal, (like in PSI Racing's pic )
