Default Messed up

Hey everyone,

I painted my first body with some chrome highlights. It looks great except for the small mistake that happened. I finished putting the final coat of chrome on, and put the body off to the side. I started to clean my airbrush with the proper thinner (lacquer thinner, because it was the acclade II chrome) but some of it spilled and ran down the table onthe outside of the body. Now I have this weird chalky, dull, non glossy part on the roof of the car (doh!!!). Has anyone found an effective way to get rid of that??? Thanks.

Is the protective coating still on?? Try alcohol, test a small section first. Or if you have a body cleaner such as Trinity Body Blast.

No, it was a losi body. I tried those already too. The lacquer thinner attacked the lexan. So I think I'm stuck with it. Too bad, it's a cool paint job too.....

You might want to try some plastic polish and see if you can buff it out.lLacquer thinner "etches" the lexan so polishing it out might work.
