It should not be a problem. Different Aluminum grades grow at different speeds with many different factors. So I would suspect you got your work done by a large company that really has no interest in doing a few R/C parts and bent you over the table and gave you crappy work for your troubles, or it was done by someone that has no idea what they are doing. We should be able to do it though no problem.

Take it easy,

In theory it should weigh less if you are replacing hard anodizing with a Type II (Colored, larger pores). Hard anodizing is twice as thick as type II, but any scales most people (outside of NASA, haha) would have would be the same. We are talking 1 Micron instead of 2.

Hope that helps! Take it easy,

We remove the old anodizing, you don't want to do this. Most of the chemicals people use (Oven Cleaner) removes the anodizing but doesn't stop there and will attack your aluminum, causing pit's and other blemishes, not to mention it's caustic. You will get sick and any kids you have in the future will have three arms and no legs and maybe two mouths, haha. Don't do this it's nasty stuff bud. Send us your parts regardless of color and we will strip and dye to what you want. Thanks.

If they are aluminum yes, if not no. If they are Titanium we can color them but the scope of color is very limited (Gray-Blue-Gold).

Thanks,

Does a polished aluminum part have a different appearance from a non-polished part? Would the polished part be shinier after anodizing?

Also do you have a green that is more florescent or neon in color. The color I see in your pics is a bit darker than I would want my parts anodized as.

Thanks

Yes if it's polished it will shine. That's one thing about anodizing, it hides nothing. It is what it is, just another color, haha..

We could experiment with the green, by not leaving it in the die as long which will make it lighter, but I don't think it will ever have a fluorescent tint to it though. We could try some and see what you think though.

Thanks

That looks pretty pimp man !! The next time you have it apart, it's good to put a mineral oil (WD-40) on the anodizing (guess I should have told you before you put it all together huh, haha), it will make the color have a little more shine to it. Looks good, this job has me considering doing all my cars in Purple.

Take it easy bud,
