Wow....didn't realize how down on power they really were.
"Ford finally installed a V8 engine in 1975. It started putting out 129 HP at 4000 rpm and 213 ft.-lbs. of torque at 1800 rpm. By 1978, the horsepower and torque count was 139 at 3600 rpm and 250 ft.lbs. at 1600 rpm. That power climb was assisted , in part, by a compression ratio increase from 8.0:1 to 8.4:1. All V8's breathed through two barrel carbs. "

I'm new to rctech and to VTA. Figured I would post a few pictures of some of our cars. The Cuda is mine, with a Sox & Martin type paint scheme. My son's is the Camaro - he is a fan of Fallout 4, so I custom mixed the paint to try to match the blue color. My daughter's is the Challenger, plum crazy of course. All are Faskolor paints. Now, to find somewhere to race this winter!

Where are you located? I know of 3 tracks and maybe a 4th in the PA/NJ/NY/MD area.

Never posted a body photo in this thread before so I thought I would debut my latest.
I call it the yellow jacket, hornet, bumble bee, or my favorite, the wasp (as in the Marmon Wasp).

Body is a McCallister Camaro.

Very cool body!

I did forget to post location - sorry. Eastern PA. LHS put in a new carpet track last spring; were testing on-road. Then outdoor season started. I checked a few weeks ago and they said they would be running on-road soon. When I checked again last week they decided to do indoor off-road. I get off road is big now and helps keep the lights on in the place; only wish they could do one night of on road.

Going back to the McAllister Camaro. Tried the McAllsiter Mustang but I think the Camaro has more rear bite.

I've always liked Hugger Orange with White Stripes....

I've always liked the McAllister Trans Am the best. Handles great, durable and good looking. And, one piece. This one I ran for a long time. Faskolor Orange Metallic.

Our club summer series is sponsored by a local towing company. So for 12 Wednesday night races our VTA's turn into the Frovik Towing Truck series. Nice change up from the J-71 series the rest of the year.
Looks cool, official VTA or not! And, you made your sponsor happy. I think many real race teams can relate.
