Shooting r/c's well can be quite difficult, even when they are still. I use my wife's DSLR and turn the aperture all the way down. I get about as close as I can and focus manually.
I also use my wifes dslr, I'll try this next time I shoot. The problem I had here was the room was dark and I couldn't remember how to use the flash. Built in flash just wasn't cutting it so I broke out the big one and couldn't remember how to tell it to work. Finally broke out the instructions.

Here's my VTA... I know the paint job maybe on the wild side for the die hard VTA guys, but I had to make it match the rest of my rc stuff...

Very nice, very different. I like it.

Hello all,

being new and all and looking at the countless threads I must say the paint jobs are outstanding.

A guy at my local club sold me onto the VTA (funny how there are not trans-ams in VTA) I plan on getting the body for my Mi1 the 105106 - 1970 DODGE CHALLENGER BODY.

Where would I get decals for VTA and would flames be ok for the paint? I plan on doing the car up in an American flag paint job but the flag would be the flame and the car would be another color.

if not I can always do that on a second body.

Dave, Mr. Carl Seils is who you need to talk to. Take a look at this thread and then contact him. My next body is a Challenger also.

I've thought that was an interesting twist myself!

Below are some pics of a Z28 that I painted. The guy that bought it is local to me. He STILL hasn't run it because its his show body. Faskolor Key Lime with a neon green backing and then white. It makes for a really nice bright green.

Interesting the size comparison to the standard 68 body in the last photo.

Yeah you cant beat Carl Seils for decals. He does great work and they last forever.....even when they drag the wall a bunch lol.

As for the flames, alot of people frown on them in VTA and will probably give you a little hell but its your body. Personally I like period correct bodies in the class but have myself added a more "current" flare to my vta bodies in the past. I say do what you want since its your body, just be prepared for a little flack is all.

Lots of Green stock looking Camaro bodies around so I decided to give it a race car theme with some additional stickers like I did on my Green Challenger body.
