Jim, thanks for the tips and compliments! As you see I fixed the star from last time (extending the tail to a tip) and like KCDZIM had planned for me, using a yellow to white fade. Next time I want to paint a wheel well fade, like the RC12R5 shell on AE's site. Any tips? Do you mount the shell first to know where the wheel wells are? So far the TC5 wheel wells never match the line on the Mazda shells.....
If I painted 6-8 shells, that might last me 2 years! I dont crash too often, its the others around me that are the problem J/K. My last shell lasted me from March till now. I only race 2x a month though...
It is time that I step up and use more shadowing, layers and fades. I love this design, but the complexity of the highly talented painters shells has me drooling. Its all about attention on the track right?

nsr250Repsol, that body is an early Kyosho Lazer ZX-S, reproduced by a company called Kamtech(Spelling ?). It didn't come with a wing though, or cut lines, but still nice to have available.
rezenclowd3, I would use an old body that fit well for a guide when drawing out the design. Even a different style will have the correct wheel well openings, which can be cut out with scissors alongeach side, marked L&R and kept in one peice for later use...if that makes sense? Obviously you will still have to tweak them if you change castor blocks, hub spacing, etc.
I have even cut out the body mount holes and wheel wells seperating them from the "cab" and windows to use on different body styles.
Poundit, Diggin the Slash too!

How was the quality of that Kamtech body? They make an Avante body I was thinking of picking up but for the price I just want to make sure it was good quality.
Thanks,
Josh

nsr250repsol, I think the quality is good, but no window masks, wings, or cut lines. But if you need a replacement, they are a good alternative to hard to find OEM. I think I paid about $58+ for that one body with shipping, but it did come with an undertray.
To me it beats spending weeks trying to save $5 on Ebay hoping to not be outbid with 3 seconds left, over and over. lol
