How many of you guys REALLY like Parma's Fascolor?
I'm having trouble with any kind of 'ghost' effect.
Seems to bleed or drown out the ghosting.

I pretty much only use fascolor for ease of cleaning and it's not as noxious. However, I will admit that the paint is more difficult to do consistent, smooth drop shadows than a very thin lacquer, especialy when the thickness of the paint varies as much as it does between bottles. The thinner the paint, the easier it will be to ghost or drop shadow an edge.
As for bleeding, that sounds more like a masking issue (and too thick of a first coat). What do you mask with?
And by drown out, are you saying that you've sprayed a ghost edge, then backed with a fascolor, and the ghost nearly disappears? Because that would mean your ghost didn't have enough paint, or the color you chose is too similar (or transparent). If you back fluorescent yellow with fluorescent orange, you'll get a slightly yellower orange. Still dominant orange. If your ghost is a transparent color like yellow, and you want yellow to show, you would have to be careful not to fully cover it with the orange.
Take a picture, so we can see what you mean, I'm just hazarding guesses.
I guess bleeding is the wrong term.
But definatly drown them out.
I'm doing the real flame effect in white.
Then backing it with Orange.
I'll try toget some pics up soon.
thanks for the knowledge, I'm no artist, But I love to paint bodies.

Not a flash as most of yours but I wanted to be different from all the 'flourescent flame' type shells which dominate where I race.
Green is actually Green/blue flip flop in sunlight.
Colours were an impulse buy when purchasing a new shell, now they're mine
Strips hand masked with tape and knife etc

Looks good kinda like a 70's era throwback color scheme.
