Amazing paint work guys, very nice jobs. I just wanted to find out how to get the outline around the edge of the windows. Exactly how do you guys do it? Would that be the last step in painting? The way I've been doing it is to paint the entire body with the windows fully masked, then when I'm done with everything else, try to mimick the windows edge about 3mm in to the window mask with a sharp exacto, then peel off the edge of the window to paint it. It never turns out nicely or evenly since it's almost impossible to follow the edge perfectly. Thanks guys.

What I normally do is take a popsicle stick and attach two sharp #11 blades onto it and your good to go.

When you outlined the windows, was the mask just cut with an exacto knife by hand around the edge to create the mask? I got a tip from a fellow rc tech member to tape 2 #11 blades to either side of a popsicle stick and trace the windows edge with one to create the outline, but it still didn't come out anywhere as neat as yours do. Whats the secret for the outlines sharp/perfect lines? Thanks.

I have masked windows 2 ways over the years. The first way I did it was to paint the body and pull the window mask off. Then using some vinyl I cut into 1/8 strips about 4 inches long. I would mask off how wide I wanted the window trim. Then I would mask off the rest of the window with larger peices. Then spray. It works but takes more time than how I do it now. I just use the mask I used supplied by the body maker and with a sharp blade and a steady hand, I just cut out the trim. You need to keep the blade moving or you will end up with wavy lines. This method takes some practice. But I get really good and sharp windows either way. Take your time and practice.

Alright cool, thanks for all the info. I really appreciate it. I guess I'll just have to keep practicing.
