I finished my first air brush paint job. Turned out ok definately a learning curve (ill post a pic when coworkers leave the office)

I started a second body and have a question for the pros. How do you get a light color trim on a graphic to stay true to color. ie pink to blue borderd graphic. It seems difficult to border that outside trim color in silver/white without ruining the transition. any help would be great ....thanks

If I understand you, you want a pink border on a blue back? Since blue is darker, you would generally paint that first. Then back it with white and if that's still not opaque enough, back it with silver. Then paint the pink and back with white, then silver. Easy as that.

Yeah that is essentially what I am doing but in reverse. blue boarder with pink center. I tried to lay down enough blue so that it wouldnt wash out when spraying the pink but it still turned purple/violet. I had not backed it with white so this was my problem. Thanks for the help......I was afraid to back the boarder with white in fear of overshooting the blue and ending up with white in the middle of my fade.

Thanks for the tip.

Default ohhhhhhhhhh

not a masked border but a faded border.... wel just a natural fade between pink and blue will make purple. That's pretty much expected, and something you'll just have to get used to. But if you want the blue to show, you need to make sure you only spray pink in the center and not cover the blue beyond just the area where the blue is fogged, not fully covered.....
