Beetle, Lynn is from Newington Ct. We used to live in Portland, Ct. before the move south. She is too busy painting for her husband and daughter and paying customers to be schoomzed by anyone. It was worth a try!!!!!!!

Default 1/5th scale body

Well I thought I'd post as I go on this paint job. This is my first 1/5th scale paint job. Things are going good so far. There is lots of room on this sucker for sure.. LOL...

This is the chassis that the body goes on..

If everything goes right, the front of the car will be white from the scallops forward and will have black shading behind them. The scallops will start with red, and then fade to orange, then to yellow and end up white. They will start from the bottom of the body and go to the top of the roof next to the windshield somewhat like the 1/10th scale Dodge Stratus below. On the side of the door, the sponsor’s text will be black. Around the outside of the hood will also start off with red, and then fade to orange, then to yellow, and then to white with the flat recessed areas on the hood being painted like carbon fiber. I masked everything so far with tape and newspaper and the scallops were made from self sticking vinyl and were cut out with my Stika vinyl cutter. . I will post more after I get done with each faze so cross your fingers for me so it will turn out ok

Type at you soon
