The paint scheme is very similar to Kazuo Maramatsu's 2003 paint scheme. The bodies are done by Takashima Design www.team-td.net and the original scheme was a template that they used for customers. Kazuo just happened to use the yellow/black/white version and for some reason, that is the best looking color combination hehe.

I was thinking of having more of those bodies done but will probably come up with something else.

Hi Guys,

Yes, I saw a piture of this Tamiya car on the Magazine and like the design very much and try to duplicate it but seem to be quite very difficult to do it exacttly the same so I made some slight changes to it. I really admire those guy at Takashima Design, their work is really good but they are very expensive.

here my simple paint scheme im gonna run for every car now.



sprint white, skyblue, blue pearl, indy silver and flourescent yellow.

(although all the colors look jacked up because of the flourescent lighting)

first time airbrusher too

Oh my that is awesome, charlie did you use liquid mask on that and do you have a template for the flames or are those freehand?

Keep posting your paint jobs please they make me want to become a better painter.

Your paint jobs also give me ideas I do not copy but it does help with coming up with something.

How do you do that?
