Ben, your bodies are looking great! That 1/8th scale body looks like one of Chudy's flame jobs. You are getting real good in a short time. Keep it up! I am really impressed.

Hey yall, quick color question (god bless alliteration). Is there a color that is the same or close to the color of the ETCC Alfa Romeos? Id like to be able to do that as a paint scheme. In fact, if this one works out I may make a bunch of bodies based on real life TC racers
www.eurostc.com click on entry list and look for Alfa Romeo Autodelta

I got a question for you painting gurus!

does liquid mask dry up to be clear? can you use it to pray it under a carbon chassis and use it as a chassis protector?

for full size cars there are clear coats that goes on the finish paint to protect the paint and make it shinny. can it be used to spray the carbon chassis to keep it from scratches?

i'm just wondering......

umm ,
from old pan car days , something that used to work well was, start at your hobby shop ask for 1 to 2 mill lexan sheets (something larger than the shape of your chassis).. then drop by the interior or crafts shop, pick up some 3m super 77 or greater spray adhesive.

after you get those 2 things, trace the shape of your chassis on the lexan, then lightly sand the bottom of your chassis so there is some "tooth" to it. then spray the adhesive in between the chassis and the lexan , then "sammie" it together.
With or without screw holes is the issue really(for your lexan), without holes looks trick, and with, allows access to the schtuff under.

plus 4 bucks saves on 50 (replacing a chassis from wear)

Liquid mask dries up clear with a bluish tint to it.

I'm not sure how well it would work as a protector, though.

well, the liquid mask would certainly not work b/c it is made to peel off... but! if you want to experiment, try using real clear coat..... spray a few coats on, buff it down and see what happens.

although im not to sure about adhesion issues, you may want to look into that.

Hi Mop: Yes, I use air brush to paint my body. I am looking forward to the Danga Bay race again, will you be there? I am still considering whether to use the body for that race, a little to nice to trash it.
