I've seen some really nice looking stuff in here. Thought I'd give it a try. No air brush just rattle can.

How do you guys custom paint?
Masking tape does not seem to be adequate...
Any input is appreciated.

Liquid mask works best for all the nooks and crannies they are designing into today's bodies. Painters be damned. But it takes some patience and or a heat gun, along with 3-5 coats, depending on how thick you put it on. Without allowing it to puddle.
Hope this helps.
A couple of my latest...

I've been doing the blended or fade look for quite a while. It's just some spray cans, window mask, and masking tape. You have to plan out when to pull off the masking tape to get your desired design. Also, you need to know how far away to hold your paint can. I can't get the nicer designs like the air brush guys but it's cheap and it's easy.

Blue tape works for quick and fairly easy designs. It's a bit harder to cut and can't be seen thru as easily.

Would you need to back the custom paint job with white/black paints?
