TLR body on my Slash. Inspired by the Team DC Nissan GTR, I did the Winter Camo theme.

Huge ball of masking tape at the end. What a PITA. I need to work with liquid mask someday.

I just finished this body for a fellow racer in the Netherlands! He found me on the Internet and had seen a Monster Energy themed SCT body I'd done in the past. He asked me to paint this one for him.

What is unique about the Axial Baja Racer body is that it is THICK and designed for monster truck type chassis. Its probably 20% larger than a typical SCT body. In the last picture, it sitting next to a Proline FloTek body for comparison. I used custom reverse paint masks for the logos from Rock Star Paint.

Hope he likes it. Now I just have to figure out how to ship it to him.

Hand drawn & cut. Masking tape, not liquid mask. Stars were dollar store puffy stickers. Mix of Pacta/Createx/final underbody coat with Acrylic Lacquer.

That Candy Green also looks superb backed with a decent mist of fluorescent green or yellow and backed with white.. With the green it ends up looking similar to a Mountain dew bottle and with the yellow looks like a Green Apple Jolly Rancher candy.

If only I had the skills to bust out drop shadows so exquisitely and cut flames like that. One day. LOL

Thanks for the tips, I will give them a try. The candy colors are so cool because you can do so many different things with them for different effects.

Dagger strokes are the key to good drop shadows, work on your dagger strokes and your drop shadows will get better. As far as the flames go just keep working at it, the more you do the better you will get.
