I was able to do some airbrushing over the Thanksgiving break. Nice to have time to paint without being in a hurry.
I bought the new Parma "Fifty Five" body that they just released. First one from my LHS! I LOVE classic hot rods! They are my passion. So, I had to treat the Fifty Five in that manner for paint. Doing the layout on flame schemes takes a long time to get right, but I did it over a couple of days and kept coming back to it to tweek until I was happy with the look. Paint is all Faskolor. Edging was done with their chrome.
I love this body!!!! Its a perfect fit on the Traxxas Slash, but they say it should work fine for any SCT. I always do my mounting holes first before paint. Much easier that way. You need to replace the front Slash mounting posts with 2 1/2" posts from Parma or other. Mine are Associated.

These were done for a local off-road racer. They are both the new Losi SCT body. Fins and number plates were done too, in black, but he wasn't sure he wanted them mounted.
The goal was to try to get close to the colors/look of the factory truck you see on the TLR page. He didn't want me to trim the edges with silver like they did because that would cost more. Edging the flames would have been a lot more work, but I think it would have made nice even nicer. Oh well.
All Faskolor paints with black underside and Crystal Clear coat so he can wash them if needed. They are BRIGHT!

Here is the new paint on a Ford Raptor SVT Flotec body. This was my first attempt at a flame affect (coming out of the vents) as well as using drywall tape for masking affects. All in all my painting is getting better, but there is nothing too fancy here. If all else, I'll see it from the driver's stand!
Here is one for my RC18b2. Originally this was for a customer but he endded up selling me the car and I kept the same theme. Of course now that it is mine I had to add my race logo to it as well. I need to come up with a mask for carbon fiber. The tool mat thing works, but I think it could be better.
